The course covers the time from the emergence of Native American cultures to the growth of sectional division in the 1850s. Students will also develop basic geography skills and engage in current events and research projects to further their understanding. Throughout the year, students will explore various topics such as the early civilizations of North America, the impact of European exploration and colonization, the American Revolution, the formation of the Constitution, and the growth of the new nation.
