Grade 7 Social Studies

In Grade 7 social studies, students will study the time period from 1860 to the present. They will examine and assess the economic and social changes that occurred in the United States during the twentieth century.

This class will focus on how America’s role as a global military and economic power has evolved and how it has impacted our domestic political agenda. Students will also explore the major events and movements that shaped the country during this time, such as the Civil Rights Movement, the Great Depression, and the Cold War.

Throughout the course, students will analyze primary and secondary sources, engage in discussions and debates, and complete various projects and assignments to deepen their understanding of the material. They will also have the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills and make connections between historical events and current issues.

By the end of Grade 7 social studies, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the major events and changes that have shaped the United States in the twentieth century. They will also have a greater appreciation for the impact of historical events on our society and the importance of being informed and engaged citizens.
