French I

This course introduces students to the French language and its culture. Students will learn how to communicate effectively in all three modes of communication and gain cross-cultural understanding. The focus is on developing proficient language skills. The course also covers reading and writing, as well as culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. By the end of the course, students will be able to engage in basic conversations, read and understand simple texts, and write short paragraphs in French.

Throughout the course, students will be exposed to a variety of authentic materials such as videos, songs, and articles to enhance their language learning experience. They will also have the opportunity to practice their speaking and listening skills through interactive activities and group discussions.

In addition to language skills, students will also learn about the rich and diverse culture of French-speaking countries. They will explore topics such as art, history, cuisine, and traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of the Francophone world.
