This course centers on writing and literature. Students will review the eight parts of speech and apply grammar rules to their writing.
They will work with functional, narrative, informative, and persuasive writing styles, with a focus on writing and editing papers that include an introduction, thesis, transitions, and conclusion. In literature, students will study short stories and novels, while also improving their vocabulary and spelling skills.
The themes presented in these works will also be used to practice critical thinking and apply them to real-life situations.
