In Language Arts Grade 6, students will focus on enhancing their writing, reading, and speaking abilities. They will utilize the six traits of writing to improve their writing and editing skills and will be introduced to informative, persuasive, narrative, and descriptive writing styles.
The main focus will be on writing clear and well-developed paragraphs. Additionally, students will study grammar in detail and apply the eight parts of speech to their writing. They will also develop an appreciation for various literary genres through reading assigned novels.
These novels will also serve as a platform for studying vocabulary, spelling, and elements of literature.
