English 2 focuses on teaching various aspects of Language Arts, including reading, literary analysis, writing, communication, and media literacy. The course covers reading literature and using vocabulary techniques to comprehend written materials.

Students will also learn to write essays for different audiences and purposes, covering both literary and non-literary topics. Additionally, they will develop skills in analyzing literature with evidence from the text, identifying and examining elements of poetry, and reflecting on, and writing about, elements of short stories.

Furthermore, English 2 will also focus on developing effective communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills. Students will learn how to effectively use language and non-verbal cues to convey their ideas and opinions. They will also explore various forms of media and learn how to critically analyze and evaluate information from different sources.
